What we are Doing

Penrith BID has started out on an exciting five-year programme of projects to improve the trading conditions for businesses, make the area more competitive, and reduce the operating costs for businesses.

It all centres on 4 Ps, which Penrith’s businesses saw as their priorities:

Promote Penrith as a destination of choice for shopping, leisure and tourism;

Pride in Penrith, looking after our town centre as an attractive, welcoming place for all to enjoy;

Park in Penrith, making it easy and affordable;

Professional Penrith, working together to reduce operating costs and investing in the professional development and skills of business people.

Supporting your initiatives

As well as delivering the projects in our business plan, Penrith BID is keen to support others who are running events or initiatives that will help make Penrith a vibrant place.

We can provide funding or other support, and this year’s Eden Food & Farming Festival was a good example.

Current Projects

Discover Penrith has been designed and developed to be the main functional website and platform for Penrith.

The Website has various elements to it's functionality and continues to develop as the town and BID develops. It is now used and recognised as the main marketing tool for the town and is promoted Worldwide through social media feeds and internal site links.

The Penrith BID, Penrith Partnership and Penrith Chamber were all in the initial discussions to create this site that looks after all areas of Penrith from business to community. The lead was the taken by Justin Wales, who was the General Manager of the towns George Hotel (now Esteem Management Services). Close work was carried out with Jili Allen Design and OppoSites to develop the site.

The site is now administered by Esteem Management Services and the close connections are kept with all to ensure the site has consistancy at all times.
